Claudia Virginia Vitari

Claudia Virginia Vitari è nata a Torino. Ha studiato alla Burg Giebichenstein, Hochschule fuer Kunst und Design (Università per l'Arte e il Design), a Halle an der Saale, Germania, dove si è laureata nel 2004 in pittura e grafica con il Prof. Ulrich Reimkasten. L'artista ha inoltre partecipato a diversi workshop sulla lavorazione del vetro.
I progetti di Vitari si basano su uno studio delle istituzioni totali: una documentazione grafica che evoca un confronto tra le singole storie e l'istituzione, come parte e specchio della società stessa. “PERCORSOGALERA” (2009) è stato realizzato all'interno del penitenziario di Torino e “Le Città Invisibili” (2012) a Barcellona in collaborazione con Radio Nikosia, la prima radio spagnola organizzata da persone a cui sono state diagnosticate malattie mentali. Entrambi i progetti hanno ricevuto un contributo della Regione Piemonte. Vitari sta ora lavorando a Berlino, indagando attraverso la sua documentazione artistica l'attuale questione della migrazione in Europa (O–Platz, Interstitial Identities).
