Arjan Shehaj
Patos (Albania), 1989Lives and works in Milan

Arjan Shehaj was born in 1989 in the municipality of Patos, whose name derives from that of the ancient village near which it arose, located in southwestern Albania. Its nominal origin is attributed by many scholars to the ancient Greek term pathos. However, the current name is the result of a linguistic alteration due to the variation of its pronunciation: in fact, already during the seventeenth century it became Patios.
Shehaj currently lives and works in Milan. In 2012 he obtained a bachelor’s degree in painting cum Laude at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and in 2015 he received a master’s degree at the same academy, also with honors. In 2022 he was selected as one of the finalists of the Art Prize Cairo.
