The raison d'ĂȘtre of life is in its limit.
A diachronic image/reading of the word LIFE is what is shown to our view by the 36 elements that make up the work, of large dimensions, exhibited at the De Chirico gallery, and which, at a cadenced rhythm, specularly oppose one another, in a relationship of subtraction and compensation. LIFE is like a numerical succession in which each element corresponds to its opposite, to find in the zero, in that empty whole, its own beginning and end. Progressing and regressing, growing and simultaneously decreasing and perceiving, in this ephemeral and illusory balance, that tragic feeling of life to which nothing is opposed. In contrast, the LIFEs made on copying paper, which from simple copies of an original that they themselves have cancelled, mutate into the latter. And in the fixity of a space that becomes one with them, these LIFEs seem to be the consequence, for the inserts, prostheses and decomposition of the image, of an artificial genetic mutation that denies them an authentic possibility of existence.
END, placed at the beginning of the tour of the exhibition, is taken from an empty, bottomless, immaterial or incorporeal matrix, and no matter how much one wants to draw an original from it, in its representation, the resulting image is what cannot be represented.
